Allen Spetnagel is an artist that creates mini-comics, ‘zines, illustrations, posters, paintings, drawings and prints. Allen has shown artwork in group shows such as “Visual Thought: A Peek Inside Artists’ Sketchbooks” at the Hudgens Center in Duluth, Georgia, and the Southwest Georgia Regional Art Show in Albany, Georgia. Spetnagel’s illustrations have been published on merchandise and catalog covers of “Bas Bleu.”

In 2025, Allen exhibited artwork in the inaugural Holyoke Paper Festival in Holyoke, Massachusetts; the RISD Illustration 75th Anniversary Alumni Exhibition in Providence, Rhode Island; the “6 By” exhibition at Cape Fear Studios in Fayetteville, North Carolina; and in the 40th Annual Georgia Artists with DisAbilities exhibition, where his pieces won an honorable mention and a distinguished merit award. His ‘zines and mini-comics were sold at the first Burnaway Book//Zine Festival at the Goat Farm Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Allen’s comics have been included in the following anthologies: “I Don’t Do Comics” #13 and Level Ground Comics’ “Better in Pairs” Scroll Comics Jam on the Webtoon Canvas platform.
